The 2020 Bentley Flying Spur will come with a first for this brand – four wheel steering. In its third generation, the Flying Spur luxury sedan is now including the option to offer greater maneuverability than the car has ever seen in the past.
A Few Additional Options
The all-wheel steering system isn’t the only addition to this new model. Taking advantage of the MSB modular architecture the Continental GT recently included, it also comes with 130 added millimeters of wheelbase, and that means just a bit more room inside the cabin. Wheels that are 21 inches are a new inclusion as well, but so is an engine upgrade.
The new version is a W12 engine with 635 horsepower and 900 Nm of torque, which has an entirely new management system that can activate the front axle when it becomes necessary. It includes an 8 speed semi-automatic transmission. The car can move from 0 – 62 in 3.8 seconds.
Inside the vehicle, there are new features as well including an option of a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster or the more traditional analog variety. You can also have lane control, blind spot monitor, night vision, 360 degree viewing cameras, and parking assistance included, if you wish. The new chrome air vents offer a luxury touch, and a panoramic glass sunroof delivers an amazing view.
It literally sparkles from head to toe, as the corporate grille has vertical veins and the headlights now feature chrome accents that help them shine even when they’re not lit. As if that weren’t enough, the taillights now feature a “B” motif, and the design mimics the diamond knurling that the air vents do in the cabin.
Bentley begins taking orders for this amazing piece of machinery this fall.
