Automatic Climate Sensing System

The 22-way adjustable airline seat has an array of sensors to continuously measure the surface temperature and humidity levels and adjust as necessary for utmost comfort. The highly accurate system can detect a minuscule temperature difference of 0.1° Celsius every 25 milliseconds. The system can then determine if heat, ventilation, or both is necessary and make adjustments to ensure optimal comfort once the passenger sets their initial temperature settings chosen from the seven settings available. Even though most customers will not use all the settings daily, availability ensures satisfaction for every passenger and every circumstance.

“In trials, we observe a human can only notice a change in surface temperature between 1-2°C, but the system is constantly monitoring actual temperature to a much more detailed level, so the system knows what the passenger is going to need before they would know themselves,” Bentley says.

While utilizing existing seat heating technology, the newly developed ventilation fan can move about 80 percent more air compared to its predecessor. When in Auto mode, this newly designed system is much more efficient than in Manual mode.

Advanced Postural Adjustment Technology

Another feature that makes Bentayga EWB the car with the most comfortable seats is the Postural Adjustment system. Rather than continuing with a typical 2D motion found in standard adjustable seats, this system utilizes a three-dimensional twist to relieve pressure points. It features 177 changes in 6 individual pressure zones that the system continually monitors and makes adjustments to minimize muscle fatigue on longer rides.

Bentley developed the pneumatic postural adjustment system with Comfort Motion Global (CMG). Comfort Motion Global is known for its work in the fatigue prevention field. The system works with the car’s chassis to minimize road vibrations making it a smooth ride. In addition, making small changes allows better circulation and creates relief in the lower back and lower limbs naturally.
