How Much Does the Bentley EXP 100 GT Cost?

July 15, 2020
Electric Bentley EXP 100 GT looks like a million bucks but will cost north of $200,000

There’s a lot of buzz over the electric Bentley and it’s all for good reason. This is Bentley’s first EV after all, and the styling is as dramatic as it is sophisticated.

Bentley is not shy about the fact that it has high aspirations for its first electric model. The launch could be some years away as the battery technology has evolved significantly. Bentley wanted to hold off for power density to increase or for a solid-state battery to be introduced. So all that will take some time. This means we can look forward to Bentley’s first production EV coming in 2025 at the earliest.

Electric Bentley: Zero Emissions?

Like other high-line luxury brands, the Bentley EV faces many challenges, including new global emissions and fuel economy mandates, such as China’s New Energy Vehicle, or NEV, standard that encourages buyers in Bentley’s largest market to shift to zero-emission vehicles.

We know right around when to expect it, but what about the EXP 100 GT cost? This has been a topic of conversation that really started buzzing in 2019 when Bentley unveiled the prototype for the EXP 100 – an all-electric concept car. This was Bentley’s way of celebrating its 100th anniversary. Not too shabby.

Bentley EXP 100 GT Cost: Expect North of $200,000

When we learned Bentley was designing it with leather-like textiles, sustainable woods and paint made from recycled rice husks, this peaked our interest quite a bit, but how much would all of this sustainable design cost? While the brand is tight-lipped, expect north of $200,000.

The electric Bentley will have an all-electric powertrain with an estimated range of about about 440 miles per charge and can operate in either autonomous or manual mode.

Bentley wants its future electric grand tourer to stand out from the competition with a bold and brave new design. While the actual EXP 100 GT cost has yet to be determined, this electric Bentley is sure to look like a million bucks.
