Bentley Flying Spur W12

The Bentley Flying Spur has been with the company for a long time. It’s a well-known model in the world of Bentley, and it has that classic Bentley look that is unforgettable once you see it. The Flying Spur was introduced in 2005, which means it has been ten years of Bentley beauty – and they’re still going strong.

The original Bentley Flying Spur was the Continental Flying Spur in 2005 with a 6-litre, twin-turbocharged, 12-cylinder engine. Accompanied by 6-speed transmission and all-wheel drive, handling was easy and enjoyable. Fine handcrafted leather surrounded any driver or passengers, and at the time of launch, it could go up to 190 mph.

A little later the Continental Flying Spur Speed model appeared, inspired by the legendary Speed models that first appeared in 1923. Built lower with subtle changes in design, it offered up 15 percent more torque and 9 percent more power overall. This particular Bentley Flying Spur still had the 12-cylinder engine, but had a top speed of 200 mph, could go from 0-60 in just 4.5 seconds, and offered plenty of luxury for everyone inside. Finding a used Bentley for sale when it comes to Flying Spurs is difficult because once people buy them, they rarely ever let them go.

The final Bentley Flying Spur was the Continental Flying Spur Series 51. Inspired by vintage cars, the Series 51 featured two-tone color designs, with combinations that were taken from the Bentley color archive that has been building up since 1951. From diamond quilting to Amboyna veneer, it’s yet another example of Bentley’s skill in creating stunning cars.

Seeking out a used Bentley for sale is still possible if you know where to go. Contact Braman Bentley and ask if they have any Bentley Flying Spur models available. Perhaps you’ll be in for a surprise.
