In the past, Bentley made just enough cars to remain profitable. The vehicles were luxury items, which meant their price point allowed Bentley to handle only a few hundred orders a year. However, Bentley isn’t just a small company anymore, and their orders aren’t so small either. From the new Bentley Bentayga taking off to the number of orders they’ve seen throughout the years, Bentley is now a very busy place.

Bentley’s reputation grew, and never stopped, after their performance at the Le Mans 24 Hours race. Sports cars from across the globe compete to show each other who can do what – and who’s the best at it. It was here that people saw firsthand what a Bentley was capable of and what they had to offer to the potential driver. After that, Bentley was never quite the same. It’s an interesting thing to think about, how the tides can turn. In fact, when the previous owner, the military firm Vickers, handed the Bentley marque over to the Volkswagen Group in 1998, it could have dismantled it then and there. The faciltiy in Crewe, UK, is producing thousands of Bentleys every year to excited customers, many of whom partake in the bespoke program.

Vehicles that are hand-crafted will always be in demand, especially when they’re of this quality. While demand has increased for this venerable brand, they have not sacrficed their exacting processes and high expectations. Bentley can be proud of what it’s accomplished.
