The second annual Bentley Motors Extraordinary Women Initiative is here. By impacting the lives of several of the most promising young women in the technical sciences, Bentley seeks to make a difference in the lives of women everywhere. At the heart of the 2023 Extraordinary Women Initiative is a mentoring program, providing winners with a live experience at the Derby plant, along with a glimpse of what an automotive manufacturing career entails.

Introducing the Bentley Motors Extraordinary Women Initiative

Bentley Motors Extraordinary Women Initiative brings together some of the most promising women in the engineering, design, and business fields for an eventful week working directly with engineers at Bentley headquarters. The global mentorship program was created with the aim of encouraging the most talented young women to enter STEM careers, particularly in the automotive industry.

Board members with Bentley work closely with universities located in England, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia to identify the most promising students. Only one Extraordinary Woman (aka Pioneer) per university is chosen, then hosted at a highly involved learning environment, where the technically adept ladies are shown what makes the Bentley Motors manufacturing process so widely renowned in the ultra-luxury automotive market.

The Pioneers are given a temporary role in live projects, providing an invaluable experience that has the power to change their career trajectories forever. One 2022 Pioneer, selected for their achievements in the University of Warwick’s Automotive Engineering program, was even granted a position in Bentley’s industrial manufacturing facility at the program’s end. The 2023 Extraordinary Women Initiative, Bentley’s second, builds on the successes of the previous year, giving a select few the chance of a lifetime.
